Shooting Star

Something catches your eye,
a streak of light in the sky.
It's there, then disappears,
maybe it traveled for a thousand years.

From all around, you can see it's tail,
like a million sparks in it's trail.
It stretches for hundreds of miles
and produces just as many smiles.

So short is its blissful flight,
burning above us, ever so bright.
It is so beautiful and so grand,
and its only the size of a grain of sand.

It is like our time on this place,
so short, we must live it with grace.

The couplet is a gem- a very inspiring and worth following thought, Chris. Life is short and the time fleeting as the adage goes
