Notes About The Poem

Shoebox Theater

Can you hear whispers and murmurs?
Puppet collection, those furry squirmers -
puppies yip and kitties purr,
asking for a puppet theater.

Now, it is your sacred duty
to satisfy each puppet cutie.
An old shoe box will hit the mark,
bring down the house, knock it out of the park.

Puppets were an amusement of bygone years , though I enjoyed them. I like how you brought back memories.

Believe it or not, I still have my puppet collection. Many years ago, I lent it to my son, who wasn't very interested in it. Hopefully, a genetic experiment will soon be in the works, to see if a certain someone likes puppets.
