Shirley

A glimpse of wonder graces your eyes- Stepping beyond a cold, lonely world; Beautiful eyes, seeing through dark shrouds, Instantly removing sadness and tears; A smile, big enough to break chains of despair, Lifting spirits to soar above rain clouds. Oh, gentle soul, what joy you bring To everyone who knows you! The loving spirit dwelling within Continues to bless us for eternity, Capturing our attention, though unseen, Prompting our hearts to awaken. My senses reveal ageless truths, Whispering from a land of spirits. Unseen angels sing their lullabies. I can hear your voice, joining in praise To the Giver of life, the One who can raise The souls on earth to Heaven on high. I recognized your sweet spirit through life, As easily as you acknowledged mine, Source of all hope, proof of unending time, Link to our unknown immortality. Souls, existing before we’re conceived, Provide our personality, uniquely designed. Only fools discredit the existence of souls, Blinded by science, demanding proof. They only need to look your way- Past your heart, into your soul- There they’ll find what makes you whole, What enables you to survive each day. The greatest soul to bless us all Now cradles you in His arms. Our God, who breathed life into you, Warms you with His love and peace, Giving you an ultimate release From suffering you once went through. I know He reigns in spiritual form, Just as the soul found within me. My soul, as invisible on earth as God, Proves the existence of the unseen To mortals with limited sight and beliefs, Shown mercy, for their ignorance, from above. Though your body is gone, your soul endures, Remaining in Heaven through the ages. You’ll be waiting for us, greeting us as we arrive. Until that day, you watch over us with care, Hoping we’ll remember your soul, so rare, Finding peace in knowing there’s no end to time.
