Shine

Incandescent She heard that envy was real, That it was something that people feel, Waste of an emotion Her thinking heart said Like throwing away glitter of your own soul Why wouldn’t you just want to shine instead For if it does exist This thing called envy Why can it not be made to a lesser degree Why not let the light that wants to shine Just be, For what lid Can snuffle A flame that does not wish to burn Only wants to shine brightly Deep inside
