Shine
Well I've heard these words before you have spoken,
You can take that disguise off when your around me.
Life isn't perfect so at times things may become broken,
I'll help pick the pieces up, you only have to ask and you will see.
Don't complicate your life with everyone else's sorrow,
Take a deep breath so you can feel alive.
Time isn't always given, it can be borrowed,
The first step may be scary, just move forward and give it a try.
Let yourself shine so I can see, let your warmth cascade around us all.
Sometimes in life we have to bleed.
Just to pick ourselves up after we take a fall.
So let yourself shine so I can see.
I have always known you could have it all.
I know when I look in your heart I can see how you have been so brave.
Even when others complicate things with their words.
Their own words just force them to be their own slaves.
In the end it's just them and what they deserve.
You have been so gallant in moving foreward to rise above the best.
Take the final step and let your spirit shine through.
You will see the clear skies and your mind can finally rest.
That disguise you had will no longer have it's use.
You just needed a hand to see how you can shine.
I knew it all along, for its been there all the time.
