Shine
Whether it is winter or spring
Whether it is summer or fall
Let your radiance be ringing
Like the blow of a cannonball
The bigots all come in number
Trying to make you their plunder
Trying to suppress your glimmer
Trying to blow away your ember
But don't let them blow away your existence
For you are a gold shimmering
You are a jewel full of brilliance
You are a ray glittering
For no one wastes time on something
Unless that thing has a value
So you are that one thing
With a radiance and hue
