Shift the Tide On the Generational Divide

Sometimes families are broken
This is no fault of anyone
It's grueling to navigate this world
This is true for everyone

Past histories passed down
Sometimes families are broken
Can't control your lineage
Or words already spoken

No need for despair to endure
Shift the tide on the generational divide
Sometimes families are broken
But but there's hope on the other side

Opportunities abound to improve
Boundless chances to be awoken
Things don't have be the same
Just because sometimes families are broken
