Shield of Truth
I am lost in the darkness,
Blind to the light,
Struggling to find my way,
in this stygian night.
I know that there is somewhere,
A place prepared for me,
But my wanderings have not revealed,
What my destiny will be,
The world is spinning freely,
There is no one at the helm,
Gyrating wildly like a top,
Into a darker realm
Send someone to guide me,
Is heaven that far away?
Where is my guardian angel,
To teach me how to pray.
If there is a God? then show me,
Let me see his face,
Give me understanding,
Help me moderate my pace.
I saw the sun this morning,
It warmed my heart to see,
A new day now was dawning.
With the freedom to be free.
Truth is all that matters,
In that you must not yield,
Keep it always by your side,
And it will be your shield.
