She's Sure

She withdraws again
Her temperamental tide
Her wavering retreat
Her natural divide.

He must wait again
The patient one, he lies.
And all that she had sated
He slowly leaves to dry.

Both know she'll return
But she's sure she won't stay.
For Mother's hand dictates:
From the land, sea moves away.

Another unique and powerful theme... each verse, with your rhyming and cadence, is compelling... but your first verse is brilliant. Best wishes, Keith :))
