She's a Mother
She's as pretty as a diamond ring
to me that girl is everything
She's been push around a while
alone and scared like a small child
But she stays strong and carries on
because she has two babies at home
She's a mother who can't be late
'cause its her turn in class to demonstrate
how strong she can be without me
always caring for our family
Its three a.m. she bats her eyes
as she wakes up to new born cries
She picks him up and holds him close
and get ready to change his clothes
She cleans him up and lays his down
while the other one runs round and round
She's a mother who cannot wait
she can't remember her late date
her selfless acts yes they come in stacks
all she really needs is a chance to relax
The day has come she's in the sun
she's so scared that she could run
She holds it in and thinks of them
and of just how hard that it has been
They call her name this feels insane
the tears start falling like the rain
She's a mother who did it all
now she's out there standing tall
