Shell

One of these days
I will get there
to that safe place
where I can be myself,
I have some stitches
closing my shell
preventing me from spilling
everywhere.

One of these days
you'll realize
life is short
time is blind,
all what we say and do
doesn't stay behind
it turns the sun on
or leave us in the night

The love I have
I cannot give
I have it inside
somewhere in me
trapped behind walls
unable to breathe
unable to die
unable to live.
