She Will Always Wonder Why

She walked around with a smile that hid pain inside There was no safe place for the tears she cried At a young age, she had many questions about the world Locked away in her mind, in confusion that swirled No-one could give her the answers through the years Because you can’t fully explain evil, as it falls on deaf ears Murder mixed with smiles by sick minds who escape Child abuse, torture and perpetrated child rape Corruption that leaks from dark drips into pools That turn into blatant floods, in the face of fools She may find all her dreams in the sky and try, But she will always continue to wonder why Heidi Sands 3/16/19

That kind of pain stays with a person forever. That is why the punishment for that crime should last forever. This is beautifully composed Heidi. I hope you enjoy St. Patrick's Day! xxoo : )

Hard hitting content delivered in slam, slam punched rhyme. Hate the truths it contains, but truth it is and impressively effective is the delivery in 3rd person. I related, who could not who possesses a soul? This is a dramatic poem that is a wow to read, Heidi! Poetry hugs ... CayCay
