She Said Yes

She Said Yes By Rick Rucker If you know me, you might guess, I’m so happy, because She Said YES! I have asked her countless times, Talked to her, read my rhymes. She thought that we should live together, In order to find out whether, We could live in the same place, While keeping a smile on our face! This was a large score, But I’m greedy, and wanted more! Just now, while at Dinner, She made me feel like a Lotto Winner! She asked if I still wanted her for my wife, Share my name, share my life! I didn’t react with Glee, I felt like a train had just hit me! I was speechless, so surprised My silence meant “No,” she surmised! I tried to save the situation, To explain that it meant Emancipation From the tyranny of Fear, Replaced with a Smile, from ear to ear! I’ve had our Wedding planned, From the Singer, to the band! I even know where it will be, In Hawaii, near the Sea. Now that she will be my mate, I’ll even let her pick the date! It will happen, I know not when, Then I’ll start to Live again!
