She Only Keeps You Off My Mind
You may think I’ve found another
When you see her here with me.
But nothing’s farther from the truth –
My heart is still not free.
You know you’ll always have a place
Inside this heart of mine –
And if you wonder why she’s here –
She keeps you off my mind.
When feelings that you left behind
Slip back into this heart of mine
She’s just someone I reach and find –
She only keeps you off my mind.
When you see her here beside me
You may think I’m over you.
But sometimes in the still of night
I don’t know what to do.
There are so many memories
I thought I’d left behind –
And when I need a special friend –
She keeps you off my mind.
When feelings that you left behind
Slip back into this heart of mine
She’s just someone I reach and find –
She only keeps you off my mind.
