She Loved Cardinals
As I walked through the corridor of my mansion
To the far side in which my parents room was before they had passed,
I felt like I was being drawn into that area for some odd reason
My parents room has been left alone and still set up the same way it was before momma passed
I rarely enter the room because I cry every time I do
The only reason I entered this time was because the door was ajar
When I approached the door to push it open, before I could...
A breeze came through from the bedroom window and swung it open
I don't know why or even how the window was opened, it's been shut for years
I took two steps into the room when suddenly...
A cardinal flew onto the window sill
Chills ran through my veins and down my spine
My mother, momma...she loved cardinals
Again...I cried
