She Left

She left without a warning,
without a kiss goodbye;
She left me in the darkness,
without a reason why.

She left with her belongings,
things she gathered from the start;
She left with things most precious,
especially my heart.

She left me in my teardrops,
that I cry alone each day;
She left and never looked back,
even as I pleaded for her to stay.

I sometimes wonder why she left,
when she knew I loved her so;
Perhaps the real reason is,
her heart left a long time ago.

This is so sad. I don't think anybody can help, but maybe knowing you have friends here to share your pain. Your poems rhyme beautifully. Have a nice day. Terry xo

WHoa Carl! This is heartbreakingly sad! It's hard enough when a loved one leaves us, but when they up and leave without a word, that can be cruel. Well penned!
