She Is Not Surprised

She is not surprised
that he brings up the past,
if he keeps it up
their relationship won't last.

He thinks she has cheated on him
and this was never true,
she has felt sadness for years
he leaves her feeling blue.

Doesn't matter where they live
things are always the same,
says she's screwing the neighbours
he always plays the same game.

She doesn't know why he does this
maybe he is trying to hide the fact,
that all the years they've been together
he's been messing around behind her back.

These are the cards that are dealt
in this harsh game of life,
she is not at all surprised
he brings nothing to the table but strife.
