She Has No Thoughts

I have no thoughts she said
I laughed, thinking she was kidding.
I have not had a thought since 1978, she added.
This was curious and made her intriguing in a weird way.

I have never been this excited about her.
But now she had primed my interest pump.
I insisted on knowing more; she was suddenly somebody.
What do you mean? I asked her, expecting a fantastic story.

She tried to think but nothing came out.
I have no thoughts, she said.
Why did you throw out 1978? I asked.
I have no idea, she said. I have no idea and no thoughts.

I was irritated now.
She had gone from potentially glamorous and exciting
to just another person who did not know how to use their words.
Totally thoughtless

Hmmm...I'm startled by this poem. I didn't realize there are people like this woman, but I have met some people I thought had no thoughts! (chuckling) Just like I've met people I'm sure have no spines!

I know these same people weirdly enough.
