She Found Me

Once he was properly broken Tossed aside, discarded His heart, his mind, his soul Utterly disregarded Shards of his soul had scattered Like winter-fleeing geese So she bent down to the ground And picked up a tiny piece That little piece of heart she took She nurtured it and it grew So fast, so happy, so strong Until he had a heart anew Her warmth, her heart, her love Were all he ever needed Please, don't ever leave me Were the only words he pleaded To be shattered into pieces And to be put together once more Calls into question The lessons he thought he'd learned before His heart is now pounding Alive of it's own He feels her presence Even when he's all alone She's an uncut diamond In an ocean of shale Her eyes, steeped in mystery Of which he must avail This woman, this wonder, this Queen Had changed his whole outlook on life She had become his everything His love, his home, his wife
