She Doesn'T
She doesn't ask you to stare
Yet your pupils linger longer than they should
Making her feel like a foreign object that needs to be understood
She doesn't dress up for you
Yet you conjure her character from her choice of clothing
You draw your conclusions and assume you are all-knowing
She doesn't need your opinion
Yet her appearance seems to be of great interest
Since you have chosen your sole purpose on this earth to be ignorant
She doesn't ask to be touched
Yet you always presume that her body is a form of property
Her body is HER BODY but this is a truth you choose not to see
And if you think for a second
That she needs your final word
To be who she is
And to do what she can
While I have your attention
May I be one of many to mention...
SHE DOESN'T!
