She Did What She Had To Do

She would do what she knew her Daddy King would have done.
Stopped playing, it was time to get out a pistol and fight, not have fun.
Her heart was maneuvering spaceship, he was sweet, her kind son.
He had no idea what was happening on the first planet from the sun.

Remember I love you. You will always be my number one.
Prince Vally wondered why his sainted mother was holding a gun.
Is it dangerous? He asked her. He was fearful, her number one son.
More than you will ever guess, she told him. Bar the door when I run.

She took off without a hug, a kiss, or anything else her son might need.
He took her advice; She was wise. His imagination was freed.
If someone took his mother, he would beg, borrow, die and plead.
To get her returned to this ship. He would even sell his favorite steed.

Fate was with the queen that day, the fight was quick and soon over.
I have to tell you, I was worried, she told her dog, sweet gentle Rover.
Did not share outcome with her son. His heart would have turned over.
Empathetic lad would have hated all the dead she left lying in the clover.
