She Blew In Like a Breeze

I'm working with rhyming; something I normally do not do. The first few lines came to me and the rest flowed. She is hopeful, but she is lonely and she just needs to accept and love her own surroundings.

She blew in like a breeze Slow at first, rustling the trees Her thoughts give her away She is hoping they will stay Loneliness is visible on her face Confused, she asks “Where is this place?” The others, glance at her Their silence and stares deter Fear overtakes her mind Wanting to leave but feeling confined She closes her eyes and silences her thoughts Take me away she thinks as she plots Eyes open, beauty restored No longer in that place where people ignore Peaceful amongst nature Taking in her creator

Susan, I enjoyed re-reading the poem several times! Nice contrast between a woman feeling lonely and confined around people; while she finds comfort and peace in the solitude of her natural world. Sanford

This poem is a treasure, Susan. I love the way she becomes acclimated to her new surroundings when she appreciates the peace find in nature and the joy of faith.

Confused, she asks, "Where is this place?" I imagine this is exactly what happens.
