She Believed In Me

I have just heard a country song on the radio and I want to use it as a memory
for a wonderful lady.

She's up there waiting
I know she will be watching over me
She brought me into this world of ours
and guided me through life
She encouraged me to be
Whatever I wanted to be
and I know
She believed in me .

She was there to watch my first steps
 as I walked
She was there to hear my first words
When I talked
She was there to pick me up
When I would fall
She was there to answer
My every call
She lives for me now
In my heart and memory
And I know
She believed in me .

She told me it was ok
For a man to cry
She chastised me
Whenever I tried to lie
Right from the early days of my youth
She taught me to tell the truth
Yes she taught me to see
How wonderful
Life can be
and I know
She believed in me.

Mother I miss you
To all you taught
I've tried to be true
I know we'll meet again
Someday
I know you had to go
Away
And Mother
I will always
Believe in you.

She was a very special lady but very funny . I can still hear her telling me not to come running to her if I fell out of the oak tree and broke my leg,
