She Beckons
I once called emerald haze a soothing friend
Decided to choose a path where clear skies mend
Her whispers still linger so soft and sweet
A fleeting lure and desire I swore not to repeat
A peaceful warmth provided like a siren’s glow
Yet we separated and I completely let go
Temptation taps and plays a melodic disguise
Yet I see right through her with steady eyes
It’s a battle I picked to fight but am unsure why
Sometimes I only seem to be missing out and sigh
She still calls out to me with a coy seductive tone
Her allure whispers, “You’re never alone.”
