She

Love's as real
As all I feel
Hollow as her eyes

Was there a time when it was real
This shadow in my mind
There was a time when eyes of grey
Could never be defined

When skies of blue stood back behind
Her face glittered in the sunshine
A cloud of accent in her face
Emotions I could never trace

A faerie, 'mongst the green of woods
Her hair hid in clandestine hood
Feckless freedom bore her down
Definition broke such sounds

Her voice, a purest harmony
Words spoken resonated me
Lips of dewdropped roses curved
Into the smile that noone heard

Hair of auburn
Eyes that glimmer
Like an inner-burning gem
Crystal creeps into my soul
As seas lie still beneath those eyes
Beneath the tears that made me cry
Beneath the windswept storms of skies
Beneath the mirrors of the mind
Garnet lies within the night
In the stars that leave their light
Beneath my eyes
Within the realm
Where all that's real is overwhelmed
Ah, there she calls me
'Neath the waves
Of thoughts that I could never save
Of words that never could be said
Into my wilderness I'm led
By she
Who is reality
To me
