She
Her face arrives from my dreams in the night
conjured by memories lost to my mind.
As I reach for her face; nothing but space--
fingers close upon void, shreds of twilight.
Are the memories real or only thoughts
and desires I wanted to come to light
in my aching heart and dark loneliness?
I remember the dream in morning's light
and the feelings I'd feared I'd left behind...
Nothing but space as I reach for her face,
Nothing but blindness is left of my sight.
