Shattered
Listen to poem:
The door of life lies shattered now,
Fragments scattered, I disavow.
Splitters of a dream undone,
Underneath a setting sun.
The path I walked, so full of pain,
Led to darkness, endless rain.
Each step a weight, each breath a chore,
Till life could hold my heart no more.
I stood before that broken frame,
A soul consumed by silent flame.
The light beyond, too bright to see,
A world where I could never be.
Hope once whispered In my ear,
But now it fades, replaced by fear.
The door of life, once strong and bold,
Now lies in ruins, silent, cold.
The echoes of a life misplaced,
Reflections of a time erased.
No more future, no more past,
In this void, I’m free at last.
Shards of dreams beneath my feet,
A bitter end, a sad defeat.
The door of life, its remnants few,
A testament to what I knew.
No way forward, no retreat,
In the shattered glass, defeat.
The door of life, now just debris,
A moment to what was me.
