Shared Love

Together standing in a warm summers rain,
With my heart pressed against your back.
Running my hands softly down your side,
Gently kissing the moisture that has fallen across neck.
Then looking into each other's eyes,
Baring our souls for each to see.
Finally letting our guard down,
To love innocently and be free.

In fields of passion drifting off to sleep.
With your head against my chest.
Eased by the soft rhythm of your breathing ,
We can finally lay ourselves to rest.

Yet as you brush your lips against my own,
I feel your warmth against my skin.
This is our love bound together free without sin.
I run my hands down your back,
Towards my body I draw you near.
The pain of all our yesterdays ,
Has fallen away with all it`s tears.
With it has gone all the emptiness.
We are burned with our new fire.
Fuelled with our emotions, passion, and desire.
Taking each other in our arms,
Then slowly becoming one.
The heat of our bodies shining together,
Brighter then a new days sun.

Beautiful love poem, Robert, very well written and the love is felt through the lines. God bless you and your wife. And thank you for your kind comments on my poem. We all seek peace. Peace in the world will happen somewhere in time, when we find peace within. Best wishes, Caroline.
