Shame
i warned you
two or three times
said i don't wanna hurt you
just read between my lines
you didn't want to listen
or hear what i was saying
my heart you tried to win
but i knew that you weren't staying
why did you pursue
no future with me clear
this i made sure you knew
now you doth shed a tear
i only wanted to be a friend
but you wanted benefits
has it come now to the end
next time i'll keep my wits
are you alone and crying
as i remain the same
you can't hear me sighing
when you call my name
i told you at the start
that i would cause you pain
inside me there's a part
that's full of guilt and shame.
