Shallow Sea and Sand

Why can’t you see what really matters?
I ask but no one cares
Even if you heard the answers
You wouldn’t even dare

Regain what nature gave us
I plead for you to see
Let eyes within us gather
Just see that you can breathe

You’re blinding me
My patience is on trial
Inside of me
The hate is soon denial

I am standing on this mountain
Alone with sky and sight
I’m watching as you struggle
You think you’re in the light

But dark I see
It covers all the land
This shallow sea
There’s tidal waves and sand
What is to be?
Silence and some death
We’re never free
Until the day we’re laid to rest
