Shallow
We walk around in human shells
Forgetting how fragile we all are
We pretend we are strong
Not weak
We mock the poor
And hate the different for what they seek
We let our souls shrivel with starvation
We bath the surface with water and perfume
And prance in silk threads amidst a full moon
Worshipping
The I
The sky
The lie
Why?
Not right
But wrong to focus on the negative things
Here I am, doing that very deed
I guess I am painted
Tarred with my own pen
