Shall I Write

 Shall I write of the pain I see?
Of the misery of the world around me?
Of those I know who ev'ryday try and try
But no matter what have no choice but to cry?

 Shall I write  of the wails that I hear;
The ghastly cries of mis'ry and fear?
And of those who yearn for someone to notice
And save them from the trap of Death's honey kiss?

 Shall I write of this, for I feel the same way,
With poisonous words gnawing at my heart each day?
 Shall I write and try to open the eyes
Of those who, to this day, believe all my lies?

 Yes, I think I shall.
