Shadows of You

Bumping into your shadows
                                                Everywhere I go,
                                           Just saw your smile again,
                                      Chasing me through an open door.
                                        Saw your shadow climb the wall
                                                As I lay down to sleep,
                                             Shadows of you all around,
                                              My sadness is knee deep.
                                               Stay away I tried to yell,
                                              But no one could hear me,
                                          Screaming from this private hell.
                                             The peace within me is nigh
                                         Smothered by your last good-bye,
                                                  Shadows of you laughing,
                                               Between each anquished cry!
