Shadows of ashes Touch my eyelashes I stare up at an empty sun Someone please give me a gun All around an empty void My hopes and dreams have been destroyed Put the gun against my head Make sure it's filled with lead I lie awake this moonless night And finally give up the fight Pull the trigger, I go to bed Now this painful life is dead Then I wake up from my sleep Still alive, I sit and weep Though I do not make a sound My faith has once again been found I drag my corpse through the street Never alive, I move my feet This hateful world won't let me die So faithfully, I chase a lie Delusions fuel my will to thrive Beyond the deep end I will dive.
