Shadows Dawning Hear Me Calling
so we argued in the hallway said some trivial words to spite you
countering the lies told by you and your lovers web of decite
to say what you were doing on the night we concived of love (is she mine)
now the falling snowflakes cover this heartbreak
shadows dawning hear me calling
calling out through the winters night
headlights shine through me into never
before falling into the underworld
slamming the door behind me opens up the floodgates of inside
feeling like another piece of refuse imploding vencance eminates from thee
not knowing of the world that lingers in the doorway ( its cold outside )
nothing felt but for my daughter who must never know tears like these ive cried
shadows dawning hear me calling
calling out through the winters night
headlights shine through me into never
before falling into the underworld
sun rises up and the winter subsides
as do the tears as do the lies
world looks a brighter place where dreams can be true
time to sleep now how about you
shadows dawning hear me calling
calling out through the winters night
headlights shine through me into never
before falling into the underworld
