Shadows

Let’s brave a thought that shines through the sadness
A melancholy melody singing of brighter realities
It’s seems ok for them to judge this inner madness
Misleading false realities to hide the darker parts of me

It’s easy to see through these flimsy little dreams
They let us believe that everything would be ok
The corners of your eyes are bursting at the seams
So you stay up sleepless nights to keep demons at bay

We both feel the emptiness within our lonely plights
We always seem to hide behind this counterfeit disguise
But I just want to filter you into the wasteland of our fights
The blissful sight of honest eyes; unyielding nighttime lullabies

Lost souls in this twisted world for which we were never designed
To coincide with the plane of sane minds walking the streets at night
So we wander the lonely roads hoping to ease our troubled minds
Hoping that soon, the sunshine will steal the darkness of the fight

it's eternal fight...to reference a struggle that seems never ending, it would be great to find relief in the sunshine..because problems seem to fade in the day and intensify at night where isolation bring those emotions to the surface
