Shadows

Shadows

The shadows keep following me everywhere I go

I'm sitting on a cloud looking down to the ground but the shadows grow oh no

I will lie down next to you girl on the floor and I see shadows on the ceiling grow

I sit beside a roaring fire watching the winds forever blow as the shadows from the curtain knows

You are the whisper in the darkest corner of my mind to show and the shadow is the part that makes me grow so cold

I will stand by the lamp light till the suns bright blessed morn and watch the shadows go till I'm growing very very old
