Shadowed Land
Lost amongst the dark.
Not sure where I am.
Dazed and confused.
In a shadowed land.
All I see is black
And red that is blood.
Drowning in the dark
In a land with a flood.
Hiding in a hole
From the black eclipse.
Blood dripping from my arms.
I'm biting on my lips.
My heart starts to pound
'Cause I'm scared to death.
I'm gripping at my hands
Tightly to my chest.
My mind starts to whirl,
A rush in my veins.
The clouds start to darken.
Down comes the heavy rain.
I curl into a ball
And squeeze my eyes shut.
Then I wake in bed.
I finally woke up.
Then I realize this.
It was just a dream.
Actually just a nightmare
Where I couldn't scream.
But it didn't matter.
Them feelings are for real.
I feel them everyday.
They get me feeling ill.
The reality I live.
Is the same dark sky.
'Cause I'm all alone
And alone I will die.
