Shadow of Tears
Silent dusk hides the sorrow,
Footsteps dissolve in the dark,
Windows frost from icy oaths
Heartbeats echo through the mist,
Memories shiver, trembling,
Hands reach for faded comfort,
My lover walks out the door.
