Shadow of Light

I sit here watching myself,
I feel so alone in this
dream-like tale.
A thick mist appears,
it surrounds me and my
reflection.
I suddenly feel something touching
my soft lips with its warm fingers,
they are soft like silk.
It whispers softly making my heart
begin to race,
it becomes a shadow standing in front
of me.
A light starts to shine as bright as
the daylight star, it becomes clear.
Suddenly I awake to be back in my
room with nothing but moonlight
shining in to my silent room.
I sit up; it must have been a dream.
Slowly a dark shadow grows,
it stands at the foot of my bed,
my heart begins to race once more.
It slowly approaches my side.
Gently it sits beside me,
my eyes adjust to the dim light,
it is my one true love softly
whispering words of deeply
felt affection and lust.
