Shadow

As Sol casts its rays
I gaze into the figure below
At a world vacant of life
A black abyss
Its depth is unknown
What lies beneath
I must seek out
Perhaps a gateway
To the darkness itself

In a trance-like state
I continue to stare deep inside
Wondering if I go in
Is there ever a way out

Suddenly, visibility is blinded
And the air holds a certain stillness
Wrapping a transparent blanket
Around me in a vise-like grip
The consequence is electric when consumed
Not knowing who's taking control
As I vanish without a trace
Never to return
