Shadow
I cannot see my shadow,
And between brownish leaves and tears
I rest under the tree of dreams
and of forgetting.
So many fruits I never tasted,
so many hearts
I had refused to comfort
in their misery,
I see those in the shadow of the tree.
I cannot see my shadow
on the grass,
and even the tree's shadow now casts light.
Past and presence merge
like autum still has sunny days.
I cannot see my shadow,
And between brownish leaves,
my arms strech out into the sky
like branches of a tree.
And with the clouds
and winds
my dreams escape
into beloved distance.
