Shade Tree Time

"It's shade tree time" he used to say
Just as the work was done
It’s time to rest, for old men’s heads
Far from the roasting sun
He'd have a seat, light up a smoke
And tell a joke or two
Then fall asleep, while we all think
what now are we to do?

Justin…that is a beautiful poem and beautiful memory! What a cool individual saying “Shade tree time” he sounds like he was a character! Love it ! Debx
