Notes About The Poem

Seven Salvageable Things

My house
soon to be
at the mercy
of a catastrophic fire

the likelihood
of salvaging
everything
infinitesimal to nil.

Given a choice
to make off
with just seven things,
I'd choose,
in no particular order...

1. Family album
2. Keys
3. Cell Phone
4. Wallet
5. Computer
6. Flash Drive
7. Wedding Photo
