Set Your Hope Toward Heaven
My future hope shines brightly for the city I must find
Many years have come and gone, on suffering I dined
But I always looked out further far beyond the stars
Beyond this earthen shroud and all that darkness mars
Everything is moving fast, but the speed we cannot see
There is something special that God has made for me
Built in matchless splendor a city speeds our way
A home that’s everlasting where always it is day
Hidden by ten billion stars, its coming is from old
Established in the heavens, the story has been told
My home that’s fashioned from the light magnificent and sure
Can you see that hope that’s shining eternal and so pure?
The power of an endless life sings softly to us all
Set your hope toward heaven; can you hear the call?
