Set You Free My Love

I'm lonely for your love in blackest night I call your name but you are nowhere near The horizon that carries you's in sight Yet distance that's between us causes fear Nothing will keep out the burning rain A cloud of doubt has come to capture me I'm preparing to accept some pain And drown within a sea of misery This wine is bitter flowing from my glass The taste of darkness, not the sweet I crave Traveling a burdened mountain pass Losing choices, becoming a slave Your love is sustenance for me it's true But I'm not sure of what you're showing me Why do you bring me this dark shade of blue Perhaps it's time for me to set you free

When love causes pain and makes you feel like a slave, it's often best to set yourself free of the misery. Don't drown in that sea -- there are other fish. Some are angel fish and they'll never make you feel this way. This is beautifully written, Deb. Love, Carolyn
