After many late nights, prayers and some beers
Our great day is finally here
Showed up early so we wouldn't miss the sights
Around our song being honored this Opry night
Blessed with friends and family
And inspiration from above surrounding me
It still surprises this ole boy to see
The roads that take you far, can also set you free
All the prayin’ that led up to this day
Found his inspiration respondin’ all the way
The journey ain’t any straighter
But the joy it brings is so much greater
