Set Love Free

I have never been this lonely, I have never been this blue
I have never wanted someone, like I want you
Lately I cry all night, begging God to intercede
Thinking that your love was all I would ever need

Today, I came to realize, today I could finally see
That to ever have your love, I would have to set you free
I never really believed that old adage to be true
Set love free and if it returns it belongs to you

So set you free, I must, so I will do it today
Praying that your love will return to me to stay
If it does not return, then it was not mine to claim
And if it does return will I still feel the same

Fly away love, like a butterfly during migration
See what is out there, satsfy your imagination
Remember that soemone loves and wants you
My heart will be waiting, my heart will be true
