Notes About The Poem

"Serendipity Senryu" Poetry Contest

While waiting for long at a doctor's clinic, I thought, the best way to spend time was writing a poem - and a poem which needed counting syllables. And here it is - this is a true story from my life - before he passed away, my father left his diary handwritten in English, depicting family history, for me. There is nothing else more valuable for me than those pages describing a life of struggles and challenges. In the end, he was the winner.

Many thanks, Andrea. Yes, it is a blessing for me. He was sick, he could write only a few pages - but those pages are my treasure. I am working on a memoir - plan to include some information from his diary.
