Serenade of the minds torrent
In a hazy daydream, I exist, aware yet adrift,
Thoughts like a river, racing swift.
Grasping at moments, fleeting and unclear,
Dissolving from my hold, leaving me near.
Awakening amidst rapids, a tumultuous ride,
Waves of thoughts crashing, pulling me inside.
Gasping for air, a drowning plea,
In the currents of the mind, I cease to be.
Vision darkens, senses fade away,
Deeper I'm dragged, in the river's sway.
Pleading with the torrent, spare me this fate,
Holding on, but it's slipping, far too late.
Just as drowning seems my destined plight,
The river spits me out, into the light.
On the bank, echoes of thoughts persist,
Yet, a moment of clarity, my soul can't resist.
